Rab Microlight Alpine Down Hooded Men's Jacket

Windswept trails. Chilly belays. Summit snack breaks or a boost of post-run warmth - whatever your day in the mountains looks like, the Microlight is up to the task. Lightweight and low-bulk, it's easy to layer and built to accompany you year-round.

Designed for protection in harsh environments, the Rab Microlight Alpine jacket is perfect for outdoor adventures. Utilising Pertex Quantum technology, the jacket's outer layer is exceptionally lightweight yet durable, to withstand extreme conditions. Pertex Quantum is windproof and breathable, balancing temperatures within the jacket for long-term comfort. The fabric is crafted from NetPlus yarn, which is made from fully traceable post-consumer recycled fishing nets. The fabric gives you peace of mind on tough ascents, offering lightweight abrasion resistance to prevent tears on your adventure. A durable water repellent (DWR) finish has been applied to the jacket to increase the water repellency for dry comfort. 700-Fill Power (FP) recycled down offers unbelievable insulation by trapping warm air inside the garment for maximum warmth at minimum weight. The down is treated with a Grangers hydrophobic finish, which prevents water from penetrating the jacket and helps maintain its overall integrity. For targeted warmth, the jacket uses a baffle design, with body mapped nano baffles under the arms for improved mobility and micro baffles located on the back, shoulders and front for optimised warmth.

The jacket has a regular fit, with articulated sleeves to allow for enhanced mobility and unrestricted reach when climbing or bouldering. For added protection, an adjustable hood with a wired peak shields your face when the weather turns. The cuffs are elasticated for lightweight heat retention, while a drawcord hem helps you personalise the fit and retain heat. A front zip provides temperature control: worn up, it seals in heat; when down, it releases built-up heat. Multiple pockets have been added, including two hand-warming pockets on either side, a chest zip pocket for secure storage of small valuables and an internal drop-in pocket to stash things on the go. When no longer required, easily stuff it into one of the pockets for compact carrying, with a loop to attach it to your harness.
