Rab has taken their bestselling lightweight down jacket and supercharged it with added wind resistance provided by WINDSTOPPER Products by GORE-TEX LABS. Warm, impressively windproof, yet breathable, it's a go-to insulated jacket for year-round mountain use.
The Microlight Windstopper Down jacket from Rab retains the versatile, easy-pack insulation of the classic jackets. Crafted with WINDSTOPPER Products by GORE-TEX, the jacket offers complete windproofing and great breathability for high-energy mountain activities with a Pertex Quantum lining for enhanced durability and improved thermomonitoring. A DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish has been added to prevent wet weather from penetrating the material. Within the fabric is 700-Fill Power (FP) European goose down; this offers unbelievable insulation by trapping warm air inside the garment for maximum warmth at minimum weight. The down is treated with a Grangers hydrophobic finish, which prevents water from penetrating the jacket and helps maintain its overall integrity. For targeted warmth, baffles have been implemented into the design to improve mobility and optimise warmth. The full-length zip assists in easy on and off and can also be used to help control ventilation. A cosy, down-filled, helmet-compatible hood with a stiffened peak provides additional protection from blistering winds. An adjustable drawcorded hem and stretch cuffs enhance the warming effect by entrapping heat within the jacket. Finally, two hand-warming zip pockets have been added, alongside a zip chest pocket for small essentials while on the move.
