Salomon Speedcross 6 GORE-TEX 20 Years Men's Trail Running Shoes

The first in a series of four limited editions celebrating two decades of heritage, this shoe is inspired by the Speedcross 2, legendary race winner. Just as light, powerful and grippy.

Anti-Debris Mesh Upper with GORE-TEX Memrane

Utilising their Anti-Debris Mesh, Salomon have designed the upper of the Speedcross 6 to effectively block dirt and debris from entering the shoe and causing distraction. The mesh is tightly knit together to ensure there is minimal holes within the material. Ripstop material has been used, increasing the durability of the Speedcross 6, preventing possible snags and other damage to the upper, keeping you out on the trails for longer. A GORE-TEX membrane has been inserted within the shoe to provide maximum water protection, preventing the wet conditions from causing discomfort when running through puddles and wet grass. SensiFit technology has been added, cradling the foot along the midfoot to enhance stability over uneven terrain to promote confidence in every step. This is complimented by the quickLACE system which lets you tighten and loosen the fit quickly with ease. While holding a minimalistic lock, these strong laces can be pulled tight in one move, getting you up and out quickly. Finally, a padded tongue sits below the lace system, cushioning the foot for better comfortability.

EnergyCell + Midsole

Iconic to the Speedcross trail shoe, the 6th version features an EnergyCell+ midsole. EnergyCell+ is a high-rebound midsole technology that delivers substantial cushioning and durability. This midsole compound provides superior cushioning, stability and motion control to provide an efficient, stable and responsive ride. EnergyCell+ works to provide exceptional energy return by absorbing shocks when the foot strikes the ground and using it to propel you forward in the next step, to improve your foot's natural gait. Whilst superior cushioning is generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. The shoes deliver a reduction in joint force to deliver a great balance of cushioning resiliency and a smooth ride.

Mud ContaGRIP Outsole

An updated outsole to their predecessors, the Speedcross 6 still have an ultra-grippy Contagrip outsole, providing you with an unmatched level of grip and traction on varied terrain. This improved compound means the shoes will not only form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain but will also work to shed mud quickly. This is due to their large lugs, therefore providing you with the perfect level of grip on all types of terrain, including wet and muddy conditions, thanks to their deep lugs, which dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking the next stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking or changing direction.
