Abrasion Resistant Mesh Upper
The upper of the Peregrine 16 has been constructed using an abrasion-resistant mesh upper. The mesh allows cool air to circulate while at the same time removing unwanted warm air, helping to regulate temperature and create a perfect microclimate where feet can thrive. The mesh is also abrasion-resistant, which stands up to the rigours of trail running. A forefoot rubber toe wrap helps to protect the toes from rocks and uneven surfaces, while the cushioned tongue and collar sit close to the foot to increase comfort. The upper also features a D-ring that allows for quick and easy gaiter compatibility, and the heel pull tab assists in putting the shoes on and off. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system, which locks the midfoot and prevents excessive movement for a secure fit.
PWRRUN Midsole
Powering you through tricky terrain, the Peregrine 16 features a PWRRUN midsole. This latest version utilises an additional 4mm of PWRRUN compared to the previous model. Despite the increased thickness, the midsole maintains the responsive feel you expect while offering even softer landings and enhanced flexibility. This combination is designed to allow you to push yourself further and run for longer with complete confidence. The PWRRUN compound is a thick, shock-absorbing material that effectively reduces impact and strain on your foot. This cushioning helps you confidently put in those extra miles while reducing the risk of injury. Increasing underfoot cushioning, Saucony has included a PWRRUN+ sockliner for instant step-in comfort.
Vibram MegaGrip Outsole
Underfoot, a full-length, full-coverage Vibram MegaGrip outsole provides maximum traction and grip. It is highly durable, resisting damage, and forms a solid bond with the ground beneath for advanced grip. The multidirectional 4mm traction lugs bite into soft earth for great traction, meaning you can focus on the trail ahead, hurtling up and downhill in complete confidence.
