Scarpa Golden Gate 2 ATR Women's Trail Running Shoes
The Golden Gate 2 ATR is an extremely versatile home-to-trail multi-terrain shoe, designed and built for medium to long distances.
Synthetic Mesh Upper
The upper of the Golden Gate 2 ATR has been created with a synthetic mesh upper. Compared to the previous model, this is now more durable and breathable for the perfect microclimate and optimum comfort. The upper allows air to flow through the shoes whilst releasing built-up heat, keeping your feet cool and comfortable throughout your run. With extensive durability, the upper works to protect itself from bumps and scrapes, keeping the fabrics in top condition for extended periods, increasing the shoe's life. Scarpa includes its EXO technology (lateral inserts/thermo-welded cage) for increased protection and support while containing the foot securely. The exoskeleton and upper combination provides a shoe with increased stability, perfect when on the trails. The tongue has been constructed using a single piece of elastic fabric which wraps around your feet, offering a snug feel and lateral stability. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot and reduces in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.
Bounce Foam Midsole
Using Scarpa's Bounce Foam midsole, the shoes provide increased responsiveness, energy return and soft comfort underfoot during every stride. This provides energetic rebounds, the foam compresses with each step and bounces back into its original shape, using the energy from your last step to power you into your next one. Helping to increase your speed, but also providing protection. The foam dampens shocks, protecting joints and muscles from stress and damage. By doing so, the risk of injury is reduced, so you can go further than before in complete comfort. Working in tandem, the i-Respond propulsion system encourages precise foot geometry, improves your running gait with a smoother stride, and produces greater energy return.
PRESA TRN-07 Sole
A PRESA TRN-07 Sole has been added to the shoe. This is made with a perfect blend of durability and grip for on- and off-road adventures. This means you get great traction on multiple terrains, so you can use one shoe for all your running needs. The sole incorporates Scarpa's ACS (Active Cushioning System), delivering improved comfort underfoot. Thanks to the combination of traction and cushioning, the Scarpa Golden Gate 2 is the ideal on/off-road running shoe, suited perfectly to both.
