Cordura Ripstop Upper
Providing you with high quality protection alongside being breathable and lightweight, the upper of the Offtrail shoe has been crafted using a Cordura Ripstop. This material is highly abrasive for long lasting protection from tough and unpredictable trails alongside still allowing enhanced airflow around the foot to reduce fatigue while preventing harsh winds from entering the inner. The shoes also have a GORE-TEX membrane built in to offer optimal waterproofing on the trails by protecting your feet from rain and moisture in poor, changing weather, including snowy conditions. For protection from unexpected objects on the path ahead, a ballistic-rubber toe cap and TPU overlays encase the upper to ensure the foot is shielded from possible snags and bumps while on the go. For in-shoe support, rubber wraps have been added, helping to prevent your foot rolling on uneven terrain by stabilising the medial and lateral sides of the foot, this support is also enhanced by the heel cup which cradles the heel securely to lock the fit in. Cushioning the foot and providing ankle support is a padded tongue and collar, wrapping around the foot in a snug fit, preventing dirt and debris from entering the shoe, with a secure lacing system to tighten the shoe for minimal in-shoe slippage. The ghillie-lace loops and metal eyelets help to secure the laces in place. Finally, a heel pull tab has been added for assistance with slipping into the shoes wit ease to get out and adventuring sooner.
EVA Midsole
Utilising a lightweight foam, the midsole of the Offtrail boosts your confidence in every step by providing great stability, protection and energy return. When striking down on unforgiving surfaces, shock is absorbed into the foam, dissipating direct impact and protecting your joints and feet from injury. The absorbed impact is released within your following stride, boosting you forwards and injecting energy into the hike ahead. Below the foam North Face have implemented their SKYCORE rock guard, providing great protection and shielding the underfoot from sharp rocks for a worry-free venture.
Surface CTRL Outsole
Completing the Offtrail hiking shoe is a Surface CTRL rubber outsole, giving you superb grip over unpredictable terrain. With optimised weight, the rubber is versatile in use and will boost your confidence in every step. The rubber is hard-wearing to repeated smack down, supporting you as the miles build up with a strong structure to boost your confidence in every step. Made with 20% rubber from smallholder farmers committed to agroforestry principles and regenerative agricultural practices.
