Spectra Upper with GORE-TEX

Designed with a premium feel, the upper of the Summit Fastpack consists of Spectra Ripstop, a high-quality fabric brought to us by The North Face. This textile is highly durable against rips and tears alongside staying lightweight and breathable, which is great for long-term use. Perforations within the upper allow air to circulate effectively around the foot, helping heat escape and, in turn, allowing cool freshness to enter, reducing fatigue and boosting motivation to push on. The Summit Fastpack Boots also utilise a breathable three-layer GORE-TEX membrane. The GORE-TEX materials provide optimum protection on the trails by shielding your feet from rain and moisture in poor, changing weather, including snowy conditions. A reinforced scratch-rubber toe cap works to prevent damage from snags and bumps while covering unpredictable paths, while a climbing-inspired ankle top has been added to enhance protection and support, with a hook-and-loop strap for easy and secure wear. A heel pull tab can be located on the back of the ankle for easy assistance when slipping into the boot or when adjusting swiftly. Finally, a traditional lacing system has been added to provide strong midfoot lockdown for a confident and immovable fit.

DREAM Midsole

Featuring a dual-layer design, the midsole of the Summit Fastpack offers enhanced energy return alongside better stability over uneven terrain. The bottom layer consists of The North Face's DREAM foam, which is highly responsive underfoot and consistently soft to touch to assist you during tough adventures. Shock is absorbed into the foam, dissipating direct impact and protecting your joints and feet from injury. The DREAM foam is super durable and has a lengthened lifespan to ensure these boots can be used time and time again through countless expeditions. The upper layer is an EVA stability chassis, added to boost comfort and improve overall stability when paths become unpredictable.

Vibram Megagrip

Completing the Summit Fatspack is a Vibram Megagrip outsole, expertly crafted from high-quality Vibram rubber to offer you reliable grip and traction over forever-changing surfaces. This high-performance outsole provides you with an unparalleled grip on both wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity, and optimal ground adaptability. The rubber can form a solid bond with the ground beneath it, ensuring traction and control as you explore the unbeaten path. Lugs allow you to bite down into softer terrain for grip without fear of slipping.
