BOOST and Bounce Midsole

adidas take cushioning to new heights, with their ultra-responsive Boost midsole. Tiny TPU capsules are moulded together to form a platform that is different to standard, solid foams; absorbing energy and then expelling it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance; keeping you going for longer. The plush, responsive cushioning will spare your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete. Boost also manages to maintain its special function and bounce in conditions as low as -20 degrees, making it a reliable, durable and hard-to-beat midsole. Working with the Boost midsole is adidas' other signature midsole, Bounce. Bounce works with the Boost to provide you with optimum cushioning taking tension off your knees ensuring you can run in complete comfort. A precisely balanced mix of Bounce and increased Boost in the midsole of the Supernova 3 delivers great comfort and exceptional energy return.
