Altra Olympus 3.0 Women's Trail Running Shoes

The Olympus 3.0 has been completely revamped for more support, stability and traction on any terrain. The upper mesh is more breathable and durable and features printed mountain graphics and a 4-point GaiterTrap. The midsole is more flexible and responsive now thanks to the addition of InnerFlex and shaving down the stack height by 2mm. Abrasion Resistant Mesh

The upper of the Olympus 3.0 Trail Running Shoes are constructed from an abrasion resistant mesh that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire construction providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while the mesh is closely knitted to prevent debris from entering. With the mesh being closely knitted this additionally helps with abrasion and enhances the durability of the uppers superbly.

Furthermore, the upper is constructed with minimal seems that dramatically reduce the chances of chafing and skin irritation, enhancing comfort to the next level. A 4-point gaiter trap is an innovative hook and loop tab that secures your gaiters to your trail shoe to keep dirt and debris from entering through the top of the shoes. The upper features Altra's footshape toe box which allows the toes to relax and spread out naturally, leaving the big toe to remain in a straight position for maximum stability and power. Lastly, the Olympus 3.0 features the Fit4Her technology which means Altra customise every women's shoe to the unique anatomy of the female foot. This increased the fit and feel and allows the shoes to feel somewhat personalised.

Dual-Layer EVA Midsole

The dual-Layer EVA midsole unit provides exceptional cushioning, protecting your joints and soft tissue from any injuries or damage, while also enhancing energy return and responsiveness. The midsole features a technology called A-Bounce. A-bounce is a bouncy compound made of recycled material that protects your foot from hard surfaces and increases energy return. Additionally, the midsole offers innerflex technology which has grid-like grooves in the midsole that allow your foot to flex while being lighter, for more speed and better performances. Lastly, Altra have added their unique zero drop platform. Every Altra shoe features the Zero Drop Platform that places the heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground for natural alignment and a low-impact landing.

The Vibram MegaGrip that has been used to construct this outsole is a high-performance rubber compound that features unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. This also made it the perfect material for trail shoes that have been designed to tackle the toughest, most technical terrain.
