Engineered Knit Upper
Providing enhanced breathability and comfort, the upper of the Gel-Glyde 4 promotes in-shoe freshness for the entirety of your run. Perforations within the upper allow for air to circulate effectively around the foot, allowing for heat to escape out and make room for cooling freshness. The structure offers comfortable support to your foot as the miles build up, taking pressure off of the sides of the feet. The upper follows a no-sew structure, minimising the possibility of irritation against the foot from possible rubbing. A padded tongue and collar has been added to provide plush comfort around the foot and a traditional lacing system to lock down the midfoot for an immovable fit.
FLYTEFOAM PROPEL Midsole
Using FLYTEFOAM PROPEL, the midsole of the Gel-Glyde 4 provides you with lightweight underfoot cushioning, suitable for a mixture of runs. The foam has a high energy return elastomer, helping to propel you forward after every stride. Shock is absorbed within the foam upon impact within unforgiving surfaces, before being released, adding motivation and reducing fatigue. This special formulation provides you with springy toe-offs and minimal drag for the most energetic starts. The midsole also has a 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION feature, meaning it helps you engage better with the foam while providing a softer feel underfoot, compressing a specific area that leads to better compression of the material at foot strike. Finally, within the midsole is a LITETRUSS stabilising element, added to ensure medial support while keeping the shoe lightweight.
AHAR Outsole
This high abrasion resistant rubber on the outsole provides you with strong grip and traction over a variety of surfaces for high confidence all run. AHAR is highly durable against wear, lasting mile after mile making this a daily shoe you can count on. The rubber has been focused in high-wear areas and missed in the mid section, keeping the weight low where it is not needed.
