Waterproof Leather and Performance Mesh Upper

Developed to provide durability and breathability, the Revel IV has been constructed using a waterproof Nubuck leather and performance mesh upper. The leather materials protect feet from debris and sharp objects, minimising the risk of wear and tear, whilst the performance mesh allows the feet to breathe by increasing ventilation. The lightweight mesh provides breathable comfort to ensure you remain cool and comfortable. The mesh allows cool air to flow through the boots' upper while allowing built-up heat to escape so you can remain cool, dry and comfortable. The boots have a mid-cut design that provides ankle stability over uneven ground. Keen.Dry technology is incorporated into the upper to provide resistance against sweat and moisture, to ensure feet remain comfortable and cosy, even during the more intense hiking adventures. The breathable membrane wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. The waterproof nature of Keen.Dry keeps you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worse. Designed using Keen's Original Fit, the boots deliver a comfortable feel across the forefoot, allowing your toes to spread out comfortably, enabling easy footing as you explore. As well as this, the boots feature KEEN.WARM, the brand's signature insulation that is extremely compressible and light for the warmth it provides. This insulation will retain heat in colder wintry environments, which means that you will be able to take on all weather conditions without the risk of feeling exposed. Additionally, it retains its insulating ability, even when damp. The boots feature a padded tongue and collar, enhancing comfort for all-day wear, while heel pull tabs assist in easy on/ off. The KEEN.PROTECT Toe Bumper protects the toes from rocks and uneven surfaces, and completing the upper is a traditional lacing system which locks the midfoot for a secure fit and reduces excessive movement.

Compression Moulded EVA Midsole

A compression-moulded EVA midsole provides cushioning and comfort whilst you're on the go. Towards the top, the EVA is extremely spongy and cushioned, which will bring lasting comfort that will reduce the stress placed on joints, which will reduce the risk of injuries and the effects of fatigue. Towards the bottom, the EVA is firmer, which helps absorb shocks and protects the soles of the feet. Giving you an added spring in your step, the midsole can flex, which will react by giving you an added spring, which will give you a little extra boost to help keep you going for longer. Thermal Trapolator technology also resides in the midsole, which works by having three layers of innovative heat-trapping materials, which are then sandwiched underfoot to hold warm air in. A Thermal Heat Shield insole actively and effectively keeps the cold out and the heat in for increased warmth. Completing the midsole is a stability shank, which delivers lightweight stability.

The Polar Traction Outsole is ideal for an array of surfaces to provide you with an assured footing, even on the most unpredictable or difficult terrain, including snow and ice. Utilising 5mm multi-directional lugs ensures exceptional grip and traction, perfect for your outdoor adventures. The dual climate nature of the outsole helps to focus on conditions such as ice and snow, where a regular outsole would not suffice. Primarily, the boot is designed for winter, but the versatility ensures it can be worn equally well in warmer conditions.
