Monofilament Mesh Upper

Ensuring extremely lightweight comfort and an excellent layer of protection, the Wave Lightning Z8s utilise a lightweight monofilament mesh construction, a transparent mesh material that allows for an exceptional level of breathability. This, therefore, keeps feet feeling cool and comfortable, especially during high-pressure scenarios on the court, and helps to remove unwanted moisture and heat when competing. Working alongside this, the shoes have a Dyna-Eyelet Wrap system with large cut-outs, which offers a fit that feels like it wraps your entire foot for a comfortable, secure ride. Alongside this, a DynamotionFit Upper construction offers a perfect fit, exceptional comfort and lightweight sensations while a Dura-Shield protects the toes from bumps and also enhances the durability of the upper. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides

The shoes utilise more than 50% recycled content on the upper body synthetic leather base fabric. More than 90% recycled content has also been used on the shoelaces.

Mizuno Wave and ENERZY NXT Midsole

The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising comfort or cushioning, whilst the rounded heel structure supports the jumping motions which usually start from the heel, as well as helps to improve stability when taking steps. The midsole utilises Mizuno Wave technology, a unique construction that not only enhances the in-shoe cushioning but also enhances stability. The Wave prevents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilise and guide the foot forward. Furthermore, another exceedingly lightweight material used in the midsole is known as PoWnCe, which offers excellent comfort and resilience properties to keep you going on tough, long-distance runs. Intercool technology also features in the midsole construction and works to maintain a natural microclimate in the shoes, and therefore prevents foot steaming, keeping your feet dry at all times. XG Rubber Outsole

This outsole is highly durable, with non-marking properties to provide you with outstanding levels of traction on the court. Additionally, the shoes have D-Flex Grooves, which sit diagonally through the midfoot, allowing you to turn at maximum speed and power by efficiently transferring your natural body movement and shift in direction.
