Supplying feet with a soft next-to-skin feel and a reduced seam construction, the plush materials reduce the chance of irritation being caused by chafing, providing you with an enjoyable and distraction-free experience. The soft, padded heel collar and tongue sit close to the ankle and foot to increase overall comfort, and lastly, a traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement for a secure fit.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
An update from their predecessors, the 860v15 utilises a dual-layer Fresh Foam X midsole for enhanced cushioning and energy return. This is New Balance's most cushioned Fresh Foam to date, providing incredible comfort. The top layer of the Fresh Foam X midsole is softer and more cushioned, and works alongside the bottom layer, which provides a more stable experience. The combination of foams provides you with a soft, responsive landing for confident, comfortable strides. Helping to reduce injuries and discomfort, the midsole absorbs shocks when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Between the two foams is an EVA Stability Plane, which helps to correct over-pronation for increased stability.
