Open-Mesh Bio-Dyneema Upper

Providing optimum protection and comfort in changing weather, the norda 055 G+ utilises an open mesh Bio-Dyneema upper alongside a G+ Membrane. The bio-circular woven Dyneema upper has been combined with nylon to enhance durability, whilst being a super-durable material, exclusively manufactured by Avient, with an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethene and is the strongest of any thermoplastic. The material is up to 15 times stronger than steel, yet still floats in water; therefore, it protects feet in changing environments, preventing damage from bumps and scrapes on the trail. The lightweight structure and unique weave pattern stop you from overheating by allowing constant airflow to keep feet cool and comfortable. Rapid water drainage means feet stay dry, and with quick-drying properties, the growth of sweat and moisture is reduced for comfort when things get tough. Working with these incredibly tough materials, the uppers feature a G+ membrane, a thin membrane lining that optimises the shoes for autumn and winter. Adding thermoregulatory properties and water resistance, the lining makes these shoes perfect for chilly, wet weather, however, it avoids the creation of hot spots and thermal discomfort, whilst also preventing your feet from freezing. Made with Dyneema, the laces are 4 times stronger than standard laces, with greater abrasion resistance and improved stretch. Compared to laces in other norda models, these have been slimmed from 5mm to 4mm to reduce weight. Working in tandem to lock down the midfoot, the norda fit-lock system uses a proprietary interior foot-binding technology, delivering unwavering stability by working with the seamless knit collar and the laces to provide a versatile, customisable fit with exceptional lockdown. The seamless one-piece collar has no hot spots or weak points for a second-skin feel that prevents dirt and debris from entering.

norda x Arnitel TPEE Midsole

For the midsole norda has utilised an Arnitel TPEE compound for soft, cushioned wear, which ensures lightweight comfort for effortless strides across treacherous trails. Arnitel TPEE is a lightweight, resilient compound to provide high-performance standards for non-stop wearable comfort and distraction-free experiences. The soft, cushioned compound withstands long journeys while providing shock-absorbing properties to help reduce the risks of injury when tackling changing terrains. Working with this, the custom-designed eTPU insole provides optimum energy absorption and excellent return to propel you into your next stride.

norda x Vibram Outsole

Completing the 055 is a Vibram Megagrip Elite outsole, a high-performance, sticky rubber that delivers exceptional grip and traction on both dry and wet surfaces. Inspired by the rock formation of the Canadian Shield, the outsole is super powerful. The Vibram Litebase technology conserves energy and enhances your performance with a 30% reduction in overall sole weight. norda has included lips on the front and rear for increased durability, while 5mm lugs provide increased traction and seamless transitions between technical trail routes, digging into the ground beneath effortlessly for sure footing with every step.
