Breathable Upper

Crafted from a lightweight and seamless upper, the VECTIV Sky 2 Trail wraps your feet in breathable comfort as you hit the trails. The durable materials shield feet from knocks and bumps on the trail, while mapped venting zones ensure a constant supply of airflow, keeping your feet fresh and cool while releasing built-up heat during intense trail running sessions. Utilising a sock-like fit and a precise foothold, the shoes' precision-fit last is for high performance on technical terrain. Working alongside this is an improved heel fit with integrated tongue wings that increase the heel and midfoot lockdown for a precise fit when on technical terrain. Completing the shoe's upper is a traditional lacing system providing a locked-in fit while preventing in-shoe slippage.

VECTIV 3.0 Midsole

The Summit VECTIV Sky 2 utilise a VECTIV 3.0 high-performance midsole for a propulsive ride. VECTIV technology uses a full-length 3D plate and rockered midsole underfoot for excellent comfort and propulsion. The rocker-shaped geometry is engineered to create long-lasting forward propulsion, guiding you through your gait cycle, for a smooth and efficient run. The midsole also offers a carbon-fibre plate with stability wings for further stability and support, and a forked design through the heel and forefoot to provide long-lasting forward propulsion. The midsole also includes DREAM midsole foam, an innovative cushioning technology offering an incredibly lightweight, soft and bouncy underfoot experience with great resiliency. It cushions your joints as you strike down and converts the energy into rebounds, propelling you forward, allowing you to run further, faster, using less energy.

SurfaceCTRL Outsole

Designed to be hardwearing and grippy, the Summit VECTIV Sky 2 have been developed using The North Face's signature SurfaceCTRL Rubber Outsole. This durable compound has been specially designed to ensure traction on both wet and dry surfaces. The outsole performs exceptionally well on wet and dry terrain, ensuring multi-directional traction on various surfaces. The highly durable rubber is strong enough to withstand the toughest trails yet and is flexible enough to adapt to different terrain, so you can have complete control. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain, protecting itself from damage and protecting users from losing control and slipping. The outsole is designed to hold firm on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence on the toughest terrains. Completing the outsole are 5mm lugs that provide a great balance between traction and durability on the trail. The lugs dig deep into wet mud and slippery rocks to ensure added traction and control. This will also benefit you by forming a solid base to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
