For increased weather protection, The North Face has added a DWR coating, along with an elastic-bound hood with a cinch cord and cord lock to shield you from the elements. When you no longer need the hood up, it can be packed into the hood. For the perfect fit, the jacket features a cinch cord at the hem with a cord lock on each side for adjustability; this also seals out cold winds to keep you warm. To keep the jacket in top condition longer, Spectra ripstop is used in key abrasion zones, withstanding knocks and scrapes when adventuring. The jacket uses a two-way, reverse-coil YKK AquaGuard centre-front zip, making on/off easy while helping control ventilation, teamed with pit-zip venting to keep you cool when temperatures rise.
