FUTURELIGHT Upper

For optimum comfort on the trails, and protecting your feet during changing weather conditions, the Summit Series Breithorn FUTURELIGHT utilise a FUTURELIGHT fabric upper, alongside ripstop materials. FUTURELIGHT is The North Face's most advanced breathable and waterproof fabric technology, to provide unbeatable comfort and protection in all weathers. The materials allow air and vapour to permeate through the walking boots, to keep feet feeling fresh and cool during the more intense hiking periods, replacing warm, muggy air with fresh, cool air. The waterproofing properties prevent water and moisture from entering the garment, to keep you feeling dry and comfortable during constantly changing weather conditions. With exceptional comfort and enhanced durability, the technology improves temperature regulation and reduces overheating in changing weather. Additionally, the boots feature ripstop fabric in quarter for added durability. To protect feet from knocks and bumps and the boots in usually high-wearing areas, a scratch-rubber rand, toe cap and heel overlay are highly durable to keep you confident in your boots. A locking hardware features at the midfoot for an improved fit. For compatibility with crampons, the boots have a heel bail, providing you with unparalleled grip on hard-packed snow and icy conditions. A high collar is constructed from stretch Lycra, to eliminate dirt and debris from entering, and sits comfortably against your skin to prevent irritation. Working with this a lace-up system provides feet with a locked-in, secure fit, working to prevent in-shoe slipping from occurring.

EVA Midsole

The Summit Series Breithorn FUTURELIGHTs utilise an EVA midsole to enhance underfoot cushioning and to provide you with a soft, comfortable landing. The midsole cushions your landing to help keep things comfortable, whilst working to absorb the shocks when landing on hard, unforgiving surfaces. This will help to reduce the risks of injury or discomfort. The boots have a semi-rigid, supportive nylon fibreglass reinforced shank for comfort on longer hiking days.

Vibram Litebase Mont Rubber Outsole

Delivering the optimal balance of stability and flexibility underfoot, and adapting to all types of terrain, the walking boots feature a Vibram Litebase Mont outsole.
