The Adizero Evo SL ATR Shoes are designed for those who push the limits in their running. With a ripstop woven mesh upper, it offers water repellency, enabling you to stay focused on your run.
The upper of the Evo SL ATR has been constructed from a breathable, high-abrasion ripstop mesh. The ripstop provides water repellency, keeping your feet dry in light rain and snow showers. It also encourages cool air to flow through the shoe while releasing warm air, preventing overheating, and keeping you comfortable throughout your run. Highly durable, the ripstop protects itself and feet from knocks and scrapes, for a shoe built to last and stay in top condition for longer, no matter how often it is used. A textile lining has also been used on the upper to increase comfort, sitting against the skin, it reduces the risk of chafing and irritation. A padded collar enhances comfort, while a flat-laying tongue reduces irritation caused by rubbing and chafing. The shoes have a protective mudguard preventing mud and debris from entering while protecting your toes. Heel lockdown is provided with the signature ADIZERO SlingLaunch and is combined with the traditional lacing system to lock the midfoot for a secure fit.
Lightstrike Pro Midsole
adidas' signature Lightstrike Pro technology has been embedded into the Adizero Evo SL ATR. The Lightstrike Pro foam compound provides endless energy return from heel strike to toe-off. It features hundreds of visible energy capsules that store and unleash energy when striking the ground, meaning every step is charged. When your heel hits the floor, the midsole compresses and stores kinetic energy. As you transition through mid-stance, the midsole relaxes and releases the stored energy, propelling you forward with an explosive take-off. The midsole also spares your joints as you strike hard, unforgiving surfaces and propels you forward, providing explosive movement and enduring speed. The light and springy ride supports your feet through the gait cycle whilst remaining as lightweight as possible, ensuring you can reach new PBs.
Continental Rubber Outsole
The outsole of the Evo SL ATR is made with Continental rubber to deliver supreme grip and traction, especially in wet and muddy conditions. It forms a solid, sticky bond with the ground for maximum adhesion, and the multi-directional 1.5mm lugs bite into the earth for excellent traction on soft surfaces. The rubber itself is highly durable, resisting damage for long-lasting use.
