Fitted over the top of the shoe and covering the lower ankle, the gaiter blocks any debris from finding its way into your shoe or sock. Although the bits of dirt may be small, they can cause irritation on the skin, enough to knock you off your stride. The strapless design means you can simply place it on with ease, and the fit is snug and comfortable. The material is flexible, making it able to fit tightly to any shape. It is also constructed to be strong and abrasion-resistant, with it able to stand up to bumps and scrapes on the trails. Highly breathable and lightweight, the ankle won't get overheated with a steady airflow entering and exiting the material.
