As well as this, ASICS' signature GEL Cushioning System has been placed in the rearfoot of the ASICS Gel-Contend 7 Running Shoes to supply bounce back and shock absorption; sparing your joints as you volley and lob, and leap and land on unforgiving surfaces, allowing for smooth transitions and movement in multiple planes. Completing the midsole is an ortholite sock liner which provides added underfoot cushioning as well as enhanced breathability. The sock liner allows cool air to flow throughout the midsole to ensure your feet remain fresher for longer.
