Asics GT-2000 5 Running Shoes

A breathable mesh material makes up the upper, allowing air to circulate freely to your feet to keep them both cool and dry at all times. Synthetic overlays exist to offer increased structure to the shoe, which helps to support your feet and provide a smooth yet secure fit. An Exoskeletal Clutch Heel Counter also provides improved support and creates an improved heel fit on the heel. An Ortholite sockliner exists in the shoes which adds extra comfort and wicks away moisture to prevent slippages from occurring when you run. The sockliner has also been treated with Antimicrobial technology, which reduces the growth of odour causing bacteria from developing, keeping your shoes fresher for much longer. Reflective elements finish off the upper to provide an extra visibility boost in low lighting levels, allowing you to stay safer when out on the roads.

Fluidride technology features in the midsole to offer an ultimate combination of bounce back and cushioning, while also remaining exceptionally lightweight. The twin layer structure is made from the lightweight Solyte and high bounce SpEva technologies. The cushioning properties of Solyte absorb impact when striking the ground, and the rebound qualities of SpEVA enhances your movement into the next step for ultimate energy return. A Dynamic Duomax support system works within the midsole to stabilise the foot during the push off and landing phase, which controls pronation and reduces injuries from occurring. A Trussic system exists in the centre of the midsole, offering stability and preventing your shoes from twisting during movement. Visible rearfoot gel has been strategically placed for maximum shock absorption so that every landing is softer. Lastly, an Impact Guidance System has been applied to encourage the foot to perform a more natural heel to toe movement when you run.

AHAR+ Outsole

An outsole made from Asics High Abrasion Rubber offers exceptional grip and durability, with an abrasion resistance that's three times higher than conventional rubber. Developed based on the concept of contributing to environmental load reduction, the outsole prolongs the life of these shoes to make them extremely durable for long term use. A Guidance Line also features on the outsole. Made from vertical grooves, the Guidance Line runs the whole way through the outer sole from heel to toe, keeping the centre of pressure concentrated into these grooves for a sturdy, supportive ride.
