Kahtoola MICROspikes Ghost Crampons
Aggressive, time-tested traction that delivers uncompromising control on steep, icy terrain. Now in its fourth generation, the award-winning MICROspikes Ghost crampons have been shaped by nearly two decades of feedback and field testing to ensure lasting performance and reliability.
Crafted with ice and hard snow surfaces in mind, the MICROspikes Ghost Crampons feature a hybrid elastomer harness with 12 stainless steel spikes that measure 9mm. The harness accommodates the majority of trail and hiking footwear and features a stiffer TPR material at the toe for security and stretchy TPE fabric at the heel for a snug, lightweight fit. Eight spikes feature on the forefoot, and four are located on the heel to ensure exceptional grip on all surfaces and conditions. The spikes have been integrated into an abrasion-resistant TPU matrix, which reduces weight without sacrificing durability, while patented reinforced eyelets are embedded at harness connection points to strengthen key stress areas for long-term reliability. Completing the crampon are articulated rivets, which allow the spikes to move independently to improve grip on uneven terrain and minimise snow buildup.
