Leather and Performance Mesh Upper

Providing exceptional durability, the Keen Hightrail uses a leather mud shield and performance mesh upper. The combination of materials protects the feet from any bumps and knocks and protects itself from damage. The leather is produced more sustainably, and manufactured in Leather Working Group certified tanneries, which use processes to reduce the chemicals used. The mesh helps keep feet cool by allowing air to flow through the shoe while helping remove built-up heat. The upper also features KEEN.DRY technology, with a waterproof and breathable membrane added to the shoe to effectively block out moisture alongside Eco friendly Anti-Odour technology, made with natural pesticide free odour control for a long lasting freshness. A KEEN.PROTECT Toe Bumper has been utilised over the front of the shoe, blocking your feet from possible injury and increasing the durability of the shoes for reliable use mile after mile. The shoes use a contoured fit that follows the foot's shape for a comfortably snug fit while a traditional lacing system has been used to effectively lock down the midfoot for a secure and immovable fit. Finally, a heel pull tab has been added to the collar for easy assistance with slipping into the shoe.

EVA Midsole

Constructed using an EVA midsole, the shoes provide comfortable cushioning and high rebound that keeps you going all day. The dual-density EVA provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle, providing resilient cushioning and reducing potential injury risk. A removable, resilient foam insole for long-lasting cushioning also features to provide added cushioning and support. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. Increasing underfoot comfort, the shoes also include a foam strobel board for extra cushioning and effective moisture wicking. Treated with eco anti-odour, the insoles are infused with probiotic technology that naturally breaks down odour in sweat without heavy metals or hazardous chemicals for a cleaner, fresher smell.

KEEN.ALL-TERRAIN Outsole

This high-traction rubber promotes grip on multiple surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance. The outsole also features multi-directional lugs, which provide meaningful traction on tough terrain. The lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base to push off from when taking a stride, digging into the ground when braking and changing direction. As an added benefit, the outsole is also non-marking, meaning you don't have to worry about causing damage to any flooring, and KEEN.TERRAIN SHIELD wraps up around the midsole for protection and lateral stability.
