Waterproof Premium Leather and Textile Upper

Utilising both leather and textile material, the upper of the Leiki Hiking Boot promotes better foot protection and support. Crafted with a contoured fit, the boot hugs the foot to help you feel secure and snug in place. The leather and KEEN.PROTECT Toe Bumper work to shield the feet from possible bumps and snags when covering unpredictable ground while also adding durability to the boot for long lasting reliability. The leather is produced more sustainably, and manufactured in Leather Working Group certified tanneries, which use processes to reduce the chemicals used. The upper also features KEEN.DRY technology, with a waterproof and breathable membrane added to the shoe to effectively block out moisture alongside Eco friendly Anti-Odour technology, made with natural pesticide free odour control for a long lasting freshness. With a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish added, rain and poor weather are effectively blocked from entering time and time again. A traditional lacing system has been added for midfoot lockdown, holding the foot in place for immovable wear. Finally, pull tabs have been added to the tongue and collar to assist you with easily slipping into the boot.

The midsole compound provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve your performance so you can stay at your optimum level for longer. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle, providing resilient comfort and reducing potential injury while offering 60% energy return for a boosted hike. The arch has been specifically contoured for better midfoot support, alongside a stability shank being added for lightweight support underfoot when moving over uneven terrain. Finally, a Luftcell injected insole sits atop the foam, enhancing the cushioning further for boosted comfort throughout your wear.

Designed using a Keen.All-Terrain outsole, the Targhee Apex provide an outstanding level of grip, traction, and stability across a wide range of trail surfaces. It's a durable outsole that stands the test of time, providing long-lasting reliability, whilst also protecting you from slipping. Adorning the outsole are multi-directional lugs for outstanding traction on tough conditions, digging deep into the ground, and keeping you stable on long-distance journeys.
