La Sportiva Helios III Men's Trail Running Shoes

Helios III is the "door to trail" running shoe designed for training and racing on hard off-road terrain.

Sandwich Mesh Upper

Utilising a combination of Mono Burr Mesh and RipStop Fabric, the upper of the Helion III is highly breathable yet durable for fast paced trails. Perforations within the upper allow for air to circulate effectively around the foot, allowing for heat to escape out and make room for cooling freshness. The material also protects the foot from possible snags and reduces the possibility of distractions when racking up the miles. Under the upper is a non-slip mesh lining, ensuring a secure fit when scaling up and down terrains with soft comfort, while a thermo formed toe cap hugs the toes for lightweight protection from direct hits. To better support the ankle while on the go, a wrap around cuff has been used with 3D foam pads to maximise comfort while reducing the chance of dirt and debris while on the move. Finally, a traditional lacing system has been utilised to effectively lock the midfoot into place for a secure fit.

MeMlex Injected EVA Foam Midsole

Made with an EVA midsole injected with MeMlex for a morpho-dynamic effect, as the foam effectively cushions the foot from any possible sharp or tough objects on the ground. The foam is also super useful when dissipating impact from underfoot when striking down hard on unforgiving surfaces, preventing direct shock from reaching your feet and joints, and absorbing it within the foam. The building pressure is then released within your following strides as high energy return, giving you a needed boost when distances get tough. Sitting atop the midsole is a Ortholite Hybrid sockliner, adding further cushioning and adding breathability to the midsole, helping warm air escape from the underfoot for long lasting freshness.

Frixion Blue Outsole

For durable grip over the trails, La Sportiva have utilised their FriXion Blue Outsole for confident stability. The compound is hard-wearing to repeated smack down, supporting you as the miles build up with a strong structure to boost your confidence in every step. With an impact brake system, negative impact is absorbed, further protecting the feet just like the midsole. This system also improves grip on downhill running, boosting your confidence in every step.
