The Makalu FX Carbon is a premium folding trekking pole pair built for mountain hiking, trekking and long days where low weight, compact carry and fast adjustments matter. The full Carbon (PRC 1000) construction keeps the feel responsive on climbs and stable on technical descents, while the five-section packs down for easy rucksack carry and travel.
The Makalu FX Carbon trekking poles utilise an anatomically formed AERGON Air Grip, a hollow core grip technology which doesn't add undue weight while providing a large textured surface for you to hold. The pole's grip points are ergonomically focused for enhanced support and comfort in your hands and wrists. The shaft material is made from Carbon (PRC 1000) to provide a super stable, extremely robust and very durable trekking pole that you can rely on. The ELD (External Locking Device) folding system deploys quickly with a push-button release, and Speed Lock 2 plus enables fast, secure length adjustment from 110-130cm. The trekking poles feature a Skin Strap 5.0, the latest generation of Leki's Skin series, combining a breathable, skin-friendly inner contact surface with refined adjustment geometry. Lastly, the poles feature the Trekking Basket 2.0 to provide effective protection against sinking in and compatibility with every Flextip.
