These versatile mountaineering boots offer a design update on a long-time mountaineering classic, and are now entirely made in Europe. The lightweight Vibram Hexa Tech outsole offers optimum grip and precision on rocky surfaces. The upper material is now made of Heinen terracare leather, ensuring higher performance and lower environmental impact.

GORE-TEX Upper

Providing protection and durability, the Mammut Kento Tour High GORE-TEX II have been constructed with a Heinen leather with a GORE-TEX membrane. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects, as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear. The GORE-TEX upper ensures the boots are durably waterproof, combined with optimised breathability, offering enduring weather protection. The membrane prevents water from entering while perspiration can easily escape, keeping feet cool and dry from the inside out. The boots have a crampon insert on the heel and a pre-shaped tongue that sits comfortably against the skin, reducing chafing and irritation. Whilst a raised rubber rand works to protect the feet from knocks and scrapes. Completing the upper is a 2-zone lacing system, which can be adjusted to the person and to the situation. The lacing system ensures a locked-down fit for distraction-free strides.

3D Memo Foam Midsole

Constructed using a memo foam midsole, the Kento Guide High GORE-TEX II keep you comfortable mile after mile. The soft foam spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces by cushioning your feet on uneven terrain. The cushioning adapts to your foot shape for exceptional comfort, support, and blister prevention, making the boots feel as though they were made just for you. A soft flex zone within the midsole to support the anatomical shape of the foot, encouraging a natural rolling motion, reducing strain placed upon the feet and allowing for fluid motion. Completing the midsole is motion control, which prevents twisting within the shoe whilst still allowing for freedom of movement. The control system prevents the foot from twisting, therefore reducing the risks of injury.

Vibram Rubber Hexa Tech Outsole

Constructed using Vibram Hexa Tech, the Kento Guide provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear. This high-performance rubber compound offers unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The Vibram rubber is built for extremely slippery terrain as it can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up to this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. The strategically placed lugs on the outsole and the varying sizes of the lugs ensure traction where needed.
