Schoeller Soft-Shell Upper

Surrounding your feet in a comforting layer of protection, the Taiss Light have an exceptional level of protection for feet to thrive. The Schoeller soft-shell fabrics ensure feet remain completely comfortable, making them soft and supple for your feet. Not only this, but the soft construction of these materials ensures that the walking boots are suitable for those with wider feet. To keep your feet dry and feel fresh throughout your adventures, the boots have an elasticated waterproof GORE-TEX membrane. This lining will ensure that both moisture and water will be prevented from entering the boots, to keep your feet totally dry and comfortable. The membrane will still allow air to enter and exit freely to keep you feeling ventilated to a comfortable level. The constant airflow is maintained, which will mean that you will always be kept at an optimum temperature. The raised rubber rand protects the toes from rocks and uneven surfaces, while the elasticated mono-tongue helps to relieve pressure points on the top of the foot. Mammut Georganic 3D technology has been added to provide maximum comfort, natural movement, and an optimised fit, and completing the upper is a two-zone lacing system that locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides and can be adjusted to accommodate different situations.

Rigid, Carbon-Fibre Midsole

The Taiss Light allows for exceptionally soft landings and shock-absorbing properties in its midsole, providing you with a pleasant hiking experience, all thanks to the rigid, carbon fibre midsole. Enhancing underfoot cushioning, the midsole softens your landing and has shock-absorbing properties to absorb the impact during strides, helping to reduce the risks of discomfort or injury on long, strenuous hikes. The midsole also provides maximum stability when traversing on uneven terrain and helps to keep the weight to a minimum.

Vibram XS Trek Outsole

The Taiss Light Mid utilise a Vibram XS Trek rubber outsole, delivering high levels of grip while remaining incredibly durable. This is an exceptional source of stability and grip for your feet, providing you with an optimum level of sure-footedness on day hikes. The flexible properties of the outsole allow feet to move comfortably and naturally, whereas the grippy nature of the sole provides you with the traction necessary on ever-changing terrain. Increasing traction underfoot, the Vibram Litebase lugs dig deep on wet, slippery surfaces and tricky terrain, so you can remain stable and secure across varying conditions.
