AIRmesh Upper

The upper of the Mizuno Wave Creation 19 is constructed to deliver superb comfort and fit while allowing enhanced airflow thanks to the AIRmesh. AIRmesh allows each shoe from Mizuno to maintain a high standard of breathability, keeping the feet feeling cool and dry throughout a run. The upper is also designed with DynamotionFit which mirrors the foot's natural movement during running, resulting in a second skin-like feel. As the foot bends, twists, and stretches, DynamotionFit follows suit by mimicking the movements. The Mizuno Flex Eyelets help to lock down the heel during a stride, allowing the upper to stretch and contract as needed. Meanwhile, Stretch Mesh delivers a contoured fit which helps to combat bunching, pulling, and sliding, ensuring that the foot is comfortable from toe-off to heel-strike.

Infinity Wave Midsole

A premium insock lies atop lightweight midsole to supply an extra, removable, layer of comfort and cushioning. The balance between cushioning and stability is at the core of every running shoe. Mizuno Wave's unique technology delivers the perfect balance for a wide range of runners by providing softness, stability and inhibiting over-pronation. The Infinity Wave is the ultimate wave plate, featuring two parallel plates that sit together with soft cushioning pillars in between to provide unrivalled cushioning and improved durability by absorbing and dispersing the impact at foot-strike. The Wave Plate is constructed from Pebax Rnew, which is a sustainable compound made from plant-based oil and low-carbon production while retaining high-performance characteristics. U4icX makes up the rest of the midsole; the evolutionary lightweight compound delivers stress-free cushioned rides with higher rebounds, for an energised, euphoric and super-comfortable run.

X10 Outsole

Stay cool and dry as you pound the pavements. Mizuno Intercool solves the problem of heat and humidity build-up in a running shoe. It does this by incorporating a full-length ventilation system in the sole of the shoe that removes heat and humidity from the foot through a system of ventilation channels, to keep flagging feet happy on longer distance days. Durability and traction arrive in the form of an X10 outsole. The extremely substantial carbon rubber allows for longer wear in high impact areas and provides more traction at the heel strike so you can run hard, knowing that your shoes can handle the heat. Mizuno integrate their Smoothride technology to minimise the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible. Smoothride begins working the moment your foot touches the ground; flex grooves adorn the outsole to promote natural movement from the heel to the forefoot, initiating that rocking-chair motion for fluid, uninhibited strides.
