Mountain Equipment Annapurna Men's Jacket

The Annapurna is an exceptionally warm jacket for summits in the Himalayas or tours in the polar regions and remains Mountain Equipment's most popular expedition jacket for the coldest regions of the world, even after more than 50 years.

The Mountain Equipment Annapurna Jacket has been designed using a DRILITE Loft 40D outer fabric that is totally windproof and highly water resistant, protecting you from windchill as well as light showers. The outer fabric has been coated with a PU, helping you stay dry in wet weather conditions. The DRILITE Loft 40D is highly durable, protecting the jacket from knocks and scrapes when in the mountains. It is the ideal fabric for clothing and sleeping bags destined for serious mountaineering, climbing and backpacking in difficult conditions. The jacket has a 1500mm hydrostatic head, making it ideal for protecting high-quality down and synthetic insulations. Keeping you warm when the temperature drops is a 90/10 700 fill power duck Down, RDS and CODEX certified pure down filling, providing you with a great warmth-to-weight ratio. The high loft material works by trapping body heat inside tiny pockets of air, providing warmth even when no longer active. The jacket uses a Box wall baffle in the body and a double-layer offset baffle construction in the sleeves, which helps to ensure maximum warmth whilst maintaining excellent mobility. The offset construction also reduces the effects of down migration, which can leave vulnerable areas, such as the elbows, with insufficient insulation, leading to cold spots. A two-way YKK moulded centre front zip assists in putting the jacket on and off, and can also be used to control ventilation, ensuring you remain at a comfortable temperature. Providing additional elemental protection is a Mountain HC Hood with an insulated collar, keeping you warm and dry whilst adjustable cuffs and dual tether hem drawcords enable you to alter the fit to be more personal and also help to trap in heat (the hood is also helmet compatible). Two zipped handwarmer pockets and two zippered chest pockets provide ample space for your essential items, with the handwarmer pockets acting as a refuge for when the temperature starts to drop. Providing even further storage options, the jacket features two internal drop pockets and one internal security pocket.
