Lightweight, Breathable Mesh Upper

Exceptionally breathable, the Metcon 9 has lightweight mesh that keeps air flowing and your foot cool whilst still sporting great durability that can withstand whatever training you put it through. The durable textile 3D haptic print reinforces the mesh from toe to heel ensuring long-lasting durability to supplement the firm and adaptive feel of the shoe, without sacrificing breathability. This construction also helps to make it easier to keep the shoes clean. The shoes also sport flexible, durable support in the toe area, so that when your toes splay when lifting heavy weights, they won't feel restrictive. On the medial side, a strong rubber wrap compound has been used to reinforce the Metcon's suitability for high-intensity workouts, which works to resist abrasion allowing you to wall sit, lift and lunge with complete confidence. This extension also adds durability and support so that you can tackle any rope climb over and over without worrying about causing wear and tear damage. Finally, the shoes feature a lace lock system which attaches to the shoe tongue, preventing them from latching onto any fabric and helping to keep your laces in place, so once you tie up, you can focus on your workout.

Dual-Density Foam Midsole

Dual-density foam in the midsole ensures great comfort and responsive cushioning, to keep you ready for highly intense activities. This responsive foam offers a comfortable, cushioned light and elastic base for your cardio exercises and sprints. With a durable construction, this resilient midsole provides responsive cushioning designed with continuous cardio and movements in mind. The long-lasting foam makes a comfortable, cushioned base that feels exceptionally lightweight, and springy when you kick into high gear for cardio and sprinting. A wide, flat heel provides stability, as it has an inner plate that distributes weight from edge to edge of the shoes. In addition, the HyperLift plate is flexible to provide comfort in cardio intervals. Featuring in the heel, the HyperLift plate has been made even bigger in this updated version of the Metcon to offer better stability than before, perfect for tough workouts like split squats, deadlifts and other low-body exercises.

Full Rubber Outsole

Developed using a full rubber outsole, the Nike Metcon 9 Training Shoes increase underfoot traction for a wide range of training activities. Ensuring a strong and stable base, the outsole wraps even further around the side of the midfoot for added grip when climbing a rope and speed when sliding back down. Increasing traction, the rubber provides stable footing when moving from one place to the next. This is ideal for tough workouts, gym sessions, and classes where you typically make a lot of sharp, aggressive and lateral movements. The solid rubber keeps you connected to the floor and allows for smoother, stabler transitions.
