Nike Air Zoom Victory 2 JI Running Spikes
Jakob Ingebrigtsen's subtly brilliant Victory 2 is synonymous with his style, focusing on what matters most: family and finishing first. With a carbon fibre Flyplate, Air Zoom unit and lightweight, responsive ZoomX foam midsole, it has every speed component he needs to smash records.
AtomKnit Upper
Introducing a new upper, the Nike Victory 2 utilise an AtomKnit upper. The new knit construction and midfoot containment cables deliver a lightweight, contoured fit with minimal water absorption and enhanced breathability. The minimalist fabric sits close to the foot to ensure a dynamic, lightweight fit ideal for racing, whilst ventilation zones within the fabric increase airflow, creating a healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system with notched laces to help lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement.
ZoomX Midsole
Nike ZoomX foam in the midsole is incredibly responsive and lightweight, giving you optimal energy return and impact absorption for your miles. Working alongside the ZoomX midsole is an Air Zoom unit at the forefoot to give you a light, responsive bounce when your foot connects to the track. The two cushioned chambers within the air unit add even more stability and propulsion. A new full-length carbon fibre Flyplate also resides in the midsole. The plate is lighter and more responsive than the previous version and adds durability while the shape of the Flyplate gives you a propulsive feel for a greater toe-off and helps keep you on your toes to minimise deceleration.
Four Spike Outsole
Featuring a new outsole, the Victory 2 has gone from six spike pins in favour of four removable spike pins, made of stainless steel, to deliver optimal biting traction. Removing the two spikes and elevating the platform by the big toe helps you feel more stable on the straights and around the bends, so you can power through to the finish line. A sharkskin heel pad improves grip for multi-surface traction, without sacrificing weight; resisting the traumas of heel strike to supply you with a reliable, fast and long-lasting race buddy.
