Nike ReactX Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes

The winterised Pegasus Trail 5 provides wet-weather protection for trail running. Combined with an Air Zoom unit and a ReactX foam midsole, it gives you responsive cushioning for an energised ride.

GORE-TEX Upper

Providing your feet with a constant supply of airflow and exceptional waterproof protection, the Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX Trail Shoes utilise a breathable GORE-TEX upper. The GORE-TEX materials provide you with optimum protection on the trails by keeping your feet protected from rain and moisture in poor, changing weather, including snowy conditions. These materials are highly breathable, stopping feet from overheating. Moisture-wicking properties prevent the build-up of sweat and moisture; this combination of materials provides your feet with a cool, comfortable wearing experience. The 3D-printed toe enhances the shoes' durability and provides support in high-wear areas whilst helping to keep your socks warm and dry. Additionally, the shoes have a sturdy, high ankle cuff, helping keep debris and trail rubble from entering and ensuring feet remain warm and cosy when traversing colder climates. Finally, a traditional lace-up reduces in-shoe slipping, keeping feet secure and you confident on the trails.

ReactX Midsole

Providing you with high levels of energy return, yet with a lowered carbon footprint, the ReactX Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX utilises a ReactX midsole. For outstanding cushioning and optimised comfort, the ReactX is a soft, lightweight and durable foam that cushions every stride to improve speed and performance. Propelling you forward on your trail run, the midsoles' outstanding energy return keeps you comfortable on changing terrains and helps reduce fatigue whilst enhancing performance. Not only does the midsole reduce fatigue and enhance performance, but it also minimises unnecessary muscle strain, allowing you to work for longer periods. The foam reduces the carbon footprint of the midsole by around 43% compared to the previous React foam included in the Pegasus Trail 4s, therefore helping to support the planet.

Nike Trail ATC Outsole

The ReactX Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEXs have a Nike Trail ATC Outsole, to make them a perfect road and trail running companion. The versatile outsole ensures outstanding grip and traction on a variety of surfaces, including wet or dry weather, while wrapping around the front of the shoes to optimise the shoes' durability and longevity, keeping you confident on the trail. Utilising a generative traction pattern, the shoes optimise grip when traversing the more technical trail runs, however, they also maintain a smooth ride when running on road conditions.
