Woven Mesh Upper

Ensuring breathability, the Pegasus Trail 5's make sure feet remain cool and comfortable throughout your next trail run. Strategically placed perforations within the mesh allow for air flow throughout the shoe, this asymmetric design within the mesh assists in releasing warm air and letting in cool, fresh air. A thin lining sits underneath this, providing durability in the structure of the Trail 5's, increasing the lifespan to keep you up and making pace for as long as possible. This also holds moisture wicking properties to reduce moisture build up over time. The upper also includes a padded collar and tongue for an added plush feel and a snug fit around the foot, the tongue is gusseted for minimal in-shoe slipping and to centre the structure and a heel tab sits on the back of the collar for assistance. Nike utilise their Flywire lacing system for a secure and conforming fit, improving comfort and retention by reinforcing areas of high pressure. To complete the upper the Pegasus Trail 5 includes reflective features to ensure visibility in low light conditions.

ReactX Midsole

Providing you with high levels of energy return, yet with a lowered carbon footprint, the Pegasus Trail 5 utilises a ReactX midsole. With outstanding cushioning for a plush feel underfoot, the ReactX foam is soft, lightweight and durable to keep feet protected. Offering great energy return, it is 13% more reactive than previous React technology, assisting in propelling your forwards to your next PB. Due to the high cushioning, the Trail 5s spare your joints from impact as your strike down on unforgiving surfaces. Shock is absorbed up into the midsole upon contact, before being released in the next stride, boosting you forward.

Nike Trail ATC Outsole

Utilising a highly diverse outsole, the Pegasus Trail 5's will keep you going on a variety of terrains with complete confidence in your footing. Excellent grip and traction are provided whilst the rubber wraps around the front of the shoes to optimise durability. The outsole has a generative traction pattern which helps grip over trails, yet maintains a smooth ride for the road. The outsole has been strategically placed to not increase the weight by missing the midfoot out.
