Mesh and Nubuck Leather Upper Construction
The upper has been built with mesh vents to ensure breathable comfort. The micro perforations allow heat, vapour and moisture build up from within the shoe to escape to the outside where it can dissipate. The perforations also allow fresh, cool air to enter the shoe, where it can circulate and provide air flow to the foot. This helps feet to feel fresh, comfortable and dry, and creates a healthy environment within the shoe that discourages bacteria growth for less unpleasant smells. Durable nubuck leather panels work to withstand the tests of the trail, protecting your feet and toes from loose debris and sharp rocks, as well as providing excellent shape retention. The asymmetrical shoe collar fits the curves of the ankle bones for a comfortable supportive fit, and a supportive heel counter works to cradle the heel for added support and to keep the heel securely in the shoe, reducing the risk of injury during strike. This upper is finished with a traditional lacing system to anchor the foot into the shoe securely with a 'hug' like feel.
O FIT Insole
This shoe features Oboz' innovative insole, moulded to match the specific shape of the shoe. It is engineered with low density EVA pods in the heel and the forefoot to deliver shock absorption on foot strike, and medium density EVA throughout to provide cushioning for all day comfort. A high density EVA sculpted arch and heel cup provide targeted support, reducing strain on joints and muscles to decrease the risk of injury. Thanks to this support, the foot is positioned in a natural, comfortable way that will help you power through your adventures worry-free.
Sawtooth Midsole
This dual density EVA midsole provides pleasant cushioning underfoot, whilst also offering excellent stability - perfect for variable terrain and long days. The midsole works in collaboration with the insole to provide shock absorption for a more gentle feel on the foot and delivers protection so you can enjoy walk, after walk, after walk. A nylon shank in the midsole provides even further stability and support underfoot.
Sawtooth Outsole
The Oboz Sawtooth II Low Walking Shoe features the thru-hiker cult favourite Oboz outsole, which gives a definite 'planted' feeling, gripping onto whichever surface you venture out on. This heavy duty outsole is built to be flexible, supportive and versatile, giving you complete control. The sole features chunky lugs that provide excellent traction and shed mud easily, sidewall lugs to grip onto off-camber trails, and a map of the Sawtooth mountain range near Sun Valley, Idaho, for a unique design element.
