The 3-layer GORE-TEX system prevents rain and moisture from entering the pants, thanks to the 9 billion microscopic pores per square inch, which are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet but 700 times larger than water vapour molecules. This prevents water from entering, while heat and vapour can escape, keeping you dry from the inside out.
