The North Face Summit Series Himalayan Down Parka Men's Jacket
Designed to withstand the harshest alpine conditions, the Summit Series Himalayan Down Parka features a CLOUD DOWN construction to help reduce cold spots.
This jacket is designed for extreme cold weather conditions. Packed with 800-fill ProDown, a natural down insulation enhanced with a hydrophobic finish that allows it to dry faster than untreated down. In other words, you'll stay warm and toasty without being bogged down by excess weight. Plus, the Cloud Down construction with offset baffles helps reduce cold spots and increases packability, making this layer easy to store in a backpack when no longer needed. Using targeted FUTURELIGHT fabric, the jacket provides protection against the elements, which is enhanced by a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating protecting you against light rain or snow showers. A helmet-compatible hood with pre-tensioned opening and rear adjustment protects against the elements and provides clear vision when climbing. The North Face has used an exposed, two-way, reverse-coil, centre front zip with a full-length, insulated internal draft tube to seal out the cold when fully zipped. When down, this can increase airflow to keep you cool and comfortable. Internal elastic-bound cuffs and an adjustable hem with riveted cord locks provide the perfect fit that seals out the cold. Two internal drop mesh pockets and concealed zip hand pockets provide a secure place to store your essentials when on the move. The jacket also comes with a lightweight stuff sack, perfect for storing the jacket when not in use.
