Engineered with Gore-Tex Extended Comfort technology, the upper is 100% waterproof while also remaining highly breathable. The membrane works by allowing water to stay on the outside of the shoe while allowing perspiration to easily escape from the inside. Thanks to the non insulating construction, Gore-Tex Extended Comfort is a great solution for walkers who value outstanding climate comfort and heat release. The midsole of these durable walking shoes is made from SpEVA technology, a material that increases bounce-back for incredible energy return with every stride you take. It also decreases midsole breakdown as you walk for improved durability to make your shoes last a lot longer than usual. Furthermore, Gel cushioning has been used in the rearfoot for good shock absorption as your heel impacts of the ground which offers better cushioning, especially on rugged terrain.
The outsole has been developed using the Asics High Abrasion Rubber Outsole technology on the heel area, which is used in many of the Asics shoe designs. This highly durable material has an abrasion resistance about two times higher than conventional rubber, making these shoes an ideal choice for hiking over rocky ground. Moreover, the outsole is also incredibly lightweight and streamlined, allowing you to gather speed in ultimate comfort as you make your way up the mountain. The lug design has also been researched and developed by Asics, and offers extensive grip on a variety of surfaces, both wet and dry, so that your stability is not compromised on uneven or slippy ground. A built in Trusstic System has also been incorporated into the middle section of the outsole, which prevents the shoes from twisting and causing injuries.
