Grade 1 - Precision Fit

Inov8 have gone down a different path than naming their shoes precise and wide fitting. Inov8 have graded the fit of all their shoes from 1 to 5 to make it easy for you to find the perfect fitting shoe. All Inov8 shoes are designed with Met-Cradle technology to lock down the mid-foot for a stable hold. Where they differ is in the toe box. Grade 1 represents their closest, most precise fit. At the other end of the scale, Grade 5 has the widest fitting toe box.

DWR Upper

Capable of gripping to all off-road terrain, its versatility makes it perfect for runs when the terrain is unpredictable. The toe bumper and gusseted tongue work together in harmony to ensure outstanding protection against stones and other types of debris. The DWR coating repels water, helping your feet stay dry throughout the run ahead. Additionally, the met cradle works endlessly to ensure the midfoot section of the shoes locks the foot down in place to provide a more stable and comfortable ride, whilst preventing any slipping from occurring within the shoes.

Compressed EVA Midsole

Utilising a blend of industry standard compressed EVA foam the OROC 280 V2 delivers reliable underfoot shock attenuation for greater comfort over the miles. Integrated within the midsole construction the OROC 280 V2 features Inov-8's PROTEC-Plate. The Protec-Plate is a 4-finger polymer protection plate that provides the same great flexibility as the Meta-Shank but is specifically designed to protect the foot from the impact of the metal dobs in the outsole.

Tungsten Carbide Spike Outsole

The 8mm lug depth provides phenomenal grip and achieves this by using more tungsten carbide spikes than ever before. The spikes are carefully positioned to ensure grip throughout the gait cycle and reduce the risk of slipping and falling.

The Oroc 280 V2 utilises 3 outsole compounds to deliver an outsole that performs on the widest range of trails imaginable. The outsole is comprised of a harder stickyGrip rubber, a softer sticky rubber and Ice-Tec Technology. The harder compound is present in the high-wear areas of the outsole, where durability is key to the performance of the shoe as time inevitably presses on. The softer compound is integrated everywhere else to ensure optimal traction across an array of surfaces.

The StickyGrip rubber and Ice-Tec technology work in tandem to offer microparticles of glass that increase adhesion properties, ensuring unbeatable grip on the most slippery of surfaces. Forming the trail biting traction the Oroc 280 V2 utilises multi-direction lugs of Inov-8' own design. Providing optimal traction when climbing, descending and contouring.
