The mesh is also abrasion-resistant and stands up to the rigours of tough trekking conditions. To avoid damp feet and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the boot; it integrates with the mesh upper to supply a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. The mid-height design provides you with exceptional support around your ankle, leaving you to feel confident on any terrain, while the padded tongue and heel collar sit close to the foot and ankle for increased comfort. Enhancing underfoot cushioning, the EVA softens your landing and has shock-absorbing properties to absorb the impact during strides, helping to reduce the risks of discomfort or injury on long, strenuous hikes. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite insole, which offers step-in comfort.
