Mesh Upper
Constructed with a mesh upper, the Mizuno Cyclone Speed 5 is a highly breathable indoor court shoe. Perforations within the upper encourage cool air to flow and circulate the shoe whilst removing built-up heat, creating a healthy, cool, dry environment. Synthetic overlays increase the shoe's durability, protecting itself against lateral drags and grazes, while protecting your feet and reducing the risk of injury. The upper has been made on a new last that is more comfortable than previous models, making it easy to match the feet of a wide range of players. Thanks to its soft feel the upper delivers maximum comfort, reducing the risk of irritation as you train or play. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks in the midfoot to reduce in-shoe movement.
EVA Midsole
The midsole of the Cyclone Speed 5 is made from a full-length compressed EVA foam that provides excellent cushioning and comfort properties. The midsole absorbs shocks and impact forces caused by the heel strike phase of the gait cycle, this helps to reduce the risk of injury and keep feet feeling fresh throughout use. Once absorbed the midsole harnesses the energy created and transfers that energy to the forefoot area of the midsole, it is used to push you off onto your next step, enhancing rebound properties. A removable cup insole has been included to increase comfort and enhance the cushioning from the moment you put the shoes on.
Rubber Outsole
The shoe has been designed for performance on the court, it forms a solid bond with the ground beneath, giving you a strong base to move off from. The highly-flexible, flat sole design bends easily and helps you get a feel for the court, perfect for those match-making moves. It is extremely stable, making it perfect for beginners who are still developing their physical strength.
