Fabric And Construction

POLARTEC Thermal Pro fabric has been used in the construction of the Viper hoodie. This was specifically chosen as it offers many great qualities. For example, Thermal Pro uses open mesh stitching which reduces the weight of the material and allows the garment to be more compressible without having to sacrifice and warmth or add unnecessary weight. Another key benefit is that it is superbly fast drying, meaning it releases excess moisture and allows it to be quickly evaporated without releasing much-needed heat. Yet another benefit is the high stretch qualities which allow the garment to stretch and move naturally with the wearer instead of causing them to feel as though their movements are being restricted.

Throughout the Viper Hoodies construction, flat locking seams have been used which will reduce weight and bulk. Another benefit of these seams is that they reduce the risk of chafe and discomfort being caused which is common with large and bulky seams.

Zips And Pockets

A full-length YKK VISLON zip runs down the centre front of the hoodie which is superbly hardwearing and allows the wearer to quickly and effectively adjust the amount of coverage and/or ventilation is offered at the front of the body. This is an ideal feature for adapting the fastening to meet the wearer's needs depending on personal preference and weather conditions. Microfleece-lined hand pockets have been placed on either side of the hoodie which works as an ideal space for placing one's hands to keep them warm on colder training days. The pockets are also great for storing essential items which may be frequently required. A zippered stash pocket is also included in the construction of the hoodie which provides secure storage space for essential items.

Other Key Features

The articulated arms offer the wearer a comfortable fit and allow for full freedom of movement, ensuring the wearer is able to move naturally instead of feeling as though their movements are being restricted. The face opening of the hood is finished with a lycra band, allowing the hood to sit snugly around the face without causing and chafe, irritation and discomfort. The rear crown area of the hood is elasticated, this allows the wearer to easily adjust the fit they receive around the head, perfect for meeting each person needs and fit preferences. A Lycra band is also fitted into the cuffs of the sleeves. This will offer a secure and snug fit around the wrist which will increase comfort and reduce cold air entering and disrupting the warm environment inside of the hoodie.
