Built using PERTEX QUANTUM and QUANTUM Pro 30D in the shoulders and arms, the jacket is windproof, soft to the touch and 100% recycled. The tightly woven structure provides windproof protection, trapping air inside the jacket, creating a barrier of warmth against the skin. The construction allows the down insulation to fully loft and retain its warmth. The nylon ripstop PEAQ lining fabric is finished with a non-fluorocarbon water repellent to shed light rain and snow easily, for weather protection in adverse conditions. The outer is highly abrasion-resistant, with reinforcement yarns that increase tear resistance, helping the jacket withstand harsh mountain environments. Inside the jacket is 700+ fill-power ExpeDRY Duck Down, which dries faster than normal down and stays dry in high humidity and extreme conditions, thanks to non-toxic gold particles. The gold particles vibrate water molecules like heat, speeding up the evaporation process faster than the down can absorb water, keeping it dry and warm even when the weather turns. The wide baffle construction, reduced vertical seams, and enhanced pattern cutting is combined with offset seam intersections, have enabled Montane to increase warmth, reduce cold spots and improve durability and comfort. An Adjustable Pivot 2 hood and adjustable hem provide complete protection, and self-sealing glove-compatible cuffs lock in warmth. The relaxed fit is comfortable and still allows freedom of movement even with extra layers underneath. The jacket features a full-length zip for easy on/off and airflow adjustment, and two zipped handwarmer pockets to store your essentials.
