Air Mesh Upper
The upper of the Ellipse has been created using a multi-layered air mesh, which is lightweight, allowing high levels of breathability and comfort with a sleek design, whilst increasing durability. The upper encourages cooler air to flow in and out of the shoe, keeping feet comfortable during intense sessions. The materials allow vapour from sweat to escape, so feet stay dry and fresh. A smooth internal liner and gusseted tongue provide easy entry and a secure fit, while helping to prevent debris from entering the shoe. A traditional lacing system with stretch laces anchors the shoe to the foot for increased stability and control. Completing the uppers are reflective details, enhancing your visibility in low-light conditions.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
The Ellipse utilises New Balance's Fresh Foam X cushioning. Fresh Foam technology is a more energetic rebound than its predecessor. Absorbing shock, the Fresh Foam X midsole protects joints from stress when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces without compromising a responsive, natural ride. Delivering plush underfoot cushioning, the midsole is a fusion of plush foam and advanced design, creating an ultra-cushioned and geometrically sound ride. Fresh Foam encourages a smooth heel-to-toe transition, reducing muscle damage and, in turn, diminishing fatigue, allowing you to push further for longer. This midsole uses approximately 3% bio-based content, offering a smaller carbon footprint whilst still providing incredible comfort.
Rubber Outsole
Providing grip and traction underfoot, the rubber outsole supplies adhesion for confident strides. It allows you to make those tight turns and corners with ease, helping the tarmac flow underfoot as you rack up the miles. The rubber is also durable, resisting damage over time for long-lasting use and enjoyment.
