Textile Upper

Constructed from a textile upper, the Salomon X Ultra 360 GORE-TEX Walking Boots keep water at bay so you can walk confidently no matter the weather. The durable upper offers a wide range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. To avoid damp feet and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the boot; it supplies a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. A textile lining encases each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow to create a healthier environment for your feet to thrive. A Sensifit system cradles the foot providing a precise and secure fit whilst the gusseted tongue sits comfortably against the skin and prevents debris from entering the boot. Protection is key while out on the trails, so don't worry when wearing the X Ultra 360 as it features a protective heel cap for rearfoot stability and a protective rubber toe cap to enhance protection from loose or sharp rocks. Finishing off the upper is the mudguard a protective material around the base to help reduce mud build-up. A traditional lacing system locks the midfoot to prevent excessive movement, whilst a lace pocket prevents any distractions whilst on the go. The upper features up to 50% recycled materials, making the X Ultra 360 a more conscious option.

EnergyCell Midsole

Within the midsole, the boot has injected and compressed EVA forming the EnergyCell Midsole. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced will also be returned as a rebound, giving an added spring to your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the less densely packed the EVA becomes, which will make every step feel comfortable. Between the outsole and the midsole, there is a new ADV-C chassis. This targets articulations on the outer foot to optimise stability without limiting your mobility while keeping the front of the boot flexible for a more fluid ride. A moulded OrthoLite sockliner is extremely soft and comfortable and works to wick away moisture keeping the feet cool and dry at all times while recycled electric cables reside in the midsole for a more environmentally friendly choice.

Contagrip Outsole

The Salomon X Ultra 360 GORE-TEX features a Contagrip outsole, providing unique traction technology and an all-terrain grip. Contagrip MA is built for the widest variety of surfaces. It balances the geometry and the rubber compound to deliver confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces, and offer long-term durability. The outsole grabs the terrain, even when wet or slippery, giving you more control, especially on descents. When moving on the wet and muddy ground, the boot's deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base to push off from when taking a stride, digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
