Waterproof Upper

Ensuring kids have a protective, comfortable layer for venturing on trails and enjoying every journey, the XA Pro V8 features a combination of breathable, water-repellent materials alongside adv.DRY technology. Allowing smaller feet to thrive under the pressures of challenging trails, the shoes feature a soft, breathable upper that ensures feet stay fresh. Strategic perforations in the fabrics prevent overheating and keep things cool, while moisture-wicking properties prevent a build-up of sweat or moisture, causing discomfort on the move. adv.DRY is Salomon's own 3-layer waterproof laminate fabric that has been made with a PFC-free membrane sandwiched between 100% recycled fabric and nylon backing for keeping feet dry during wet trail running endeavours. Cradling your child's feet from the midsole down to the lacing system, a sensiFIT system provides a secure, snug and customised fit across the whole foot. The junior edition of the XA Pro V8 features a protective mudguard, which is present across the base of the foot, to supply feet with lateral and medial protection. A protective toecap stops discomfort from bumps and bashes and damage from scrapes on the trail. For the perfect fit and feel, the junior shoes utilise Salomon's iconic quickLACE system, which can be easily adjusted using the one-pull system, for a snug, customisable fit. Finally, V8 of the XA Pro has been updated with a new stylish design using athletic lines and a stripy print for a striking style.

EnergyCell Midsole

To keep feet comfortable and feeling fresh from start to finish of their trail running exploration, the shoes feature Salomon's own EnergyCell midsole. This midsole is a high-performance EVA foam that provides optimum underfoot cushioning and lightweight, soft responsiveness. Pushing feet onto their next step, the foam is very soft and bouncy, with shock-attenuating properties to reduce discomfort or injuries when landing on tough, less forgiving trail surfaces. Working alongside this, the shoes feature an Ortholite die-cut sockliner, which adds an extra level of cushioning, breathability and durability.
