Welded Upper with GORE-TEX Membrane

Using synthetic textile, the upper of the X Ultra 360 Edge has a welded construct for better durability and protection. By possessing a stitch-free build, the shoe has a glove-like fit, wrapping your feet in a comfortable shield as the miles build over time. A GORE-TEX membrane has also been implemented into the upper of the X Ultra 360 Edge, the GORE-TEX materials provide optimum protection on the trails by protecting your feet from rain and moisture in poor, changing weather, including snowy conditions. To support your feet, SensiFit technology has been implemented into the upper, cradling your midfoot from the midsole up to the laces, helping you stabilise over uneven and unpredictable terrain while a padded tongue and collar have been added to prevent dirt and debris from entering the shoe with a snug fit. For speedy midfoot lockdown, Salomon's quickLACE technology has been utilised, with one pull tightening for rapid readying up while never loosening unexpectedly for complete confidence in wear. Finally, a heel pull tab has been implemented into the design to allow you easy assistance when getting ready for activities ahead.

EnergyCell Midsole

The X Ultra 360 Edge has an EnergyCell midsole that provides cushioning and reduces shock underfoot. The EVA foam compresses as you stride forward, dissipating any shock from unforgiving surfaces below and protecting your feet and joints. The building impact is then released within your following step as healthy energy return, providing a boost to keep you pushing onwards with ease. The foam also works to keep you stable over uneven terrain, keeping you confident within your step. An ortholite diecut sockliner sits atop the foam, improving the breathability within the shoe to reduce foot fatigue, while also adding extra cushioning underfoot. Lastly, the midsole has been fitted with Salomon's low-profile Advanced Chassis, which is placed between the outsole and midsole to maximise security, motion control and energy management for a stable and responsive ride.

All-Terrain ContaGRIP

An updated outsole to their predecessors, the XA Pro 3D V9 still has an All-Terrain Contagrip Outsole, providing an unmatched level of grip and traction on varied terrain. The full rubber outsole provides premium traction on loose terrain, ensuring a solid bond between you and the ground. The Contagrip outsole is built for the widest variety of surfaces; it ensures confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces whilst offering long-term durability so you can go further for longer with complete confidence in your footwear. The outsole also features multi-directional lugs which dig deep into the ground when braking or changing direction. The deep lugs can anchor the foot into wet and muddy ground, securing you in place whilst forming a solid base to push off from.
