GORE-TEX Upper

Supplying you with a classic pair of boots that provide you with protection and comfort in all weather and hiking conditions, the Sundowner's feature a full-grain waterproof leather upper supplied by Vasque's tannery in Red Wing, Minnesota, so that you can rely on the quality and functionality of the boots' uppers. The leather is super durable to optimise in-shoe protection during knocks and bumps on the constantly changing terrain and trail conditions. The uppers will keep feet as comfortable as possible, even during those long rocky climbs. The thick materials will also supply feet with warmth and cosiness, for added comfort when things get a bit chilly. The materials are breathable and prevent excess build-up of warmth, and with quick-drying properties, the walking boots keep feet dry from sweat and moisture. The boots feature a GORE-TEX lining with Performance Comfort Technology, to prevent rain and water from entering and keeping feet dry and comfortable during long hikes in unpredictable weather. A soft, cushioned tongue and collar help keep your feet secure, preventing irritation or chafing from occurring and keeping your feet locked in. Traditional laces provide a secure fit and feel, and a spare pair of laces allows you to change up the look of the boots. Moulded PU Midsole

For a soft, comfortable landing, the Sundowner GORE-TEX features a PU midsole alongside a TPU shank, adding underfoot cushioning and a comfortable wearing experience. The cushioning prevents feet from feeling over-fatigued and ensures a fresh sensation during longer hiking adventures. The midsole works to absorb shocks and impact by softening your landing and helping to reduce the effects when striking down onto the hard often changing terrains of your hiking endeavour. The soft cushioning also helps to provide a little extra spring, bouncing you forward slightly when taking long powerful strides, guiding you into your next step. Finally, the TPU shank keeps your feet secure and stable when traversing difficult terrain, helping to prevent ankle twisting, and helping you focus on the surrounding nature, rather than where you're placing your feet.

Made from Vasque's proprietary outsole, the Sundowner utilises a Vasque Pyrenees outsole compound for optimised traction and high levels of durability to keep you stable and secure on long hiking adventures, and exciting expeditions. The outsole will form a solid, grip on changing surfaces, meaning you remain confident and comfortable across all types of hiking terrains. Deep lugs adorn the outsole to keep a secure grip and dig deep into mud and soggy surfaces for optimised performance.
