Veja Fitz Roy Walking Shoes

Veja have created a shoe that is conceived for trekking and hiking adventures. The Fitz Roy is a technical hiking shoe with a solid and stable sole, thanks to the impressive multi-directional crampons and rock plate.

Trek-Shell Upper

Providing you with durable protection on the trail, the Fitz Roys have a resistant Trek-Shell upper construction. This is a tightly woven material made from recycled Polyester and inspired by outdoor textiles to provide your feet with high levels of shielding, with a reinforced structure, great malleability, and flexibility. This allows feet to move freely, for complete comfort on your future adventures. The fabric also has strategically placed perforations throughout to prevent feet from becoming sweaty and hot, supplying you with a constant level of airflow to keep your feet cool. The uppers have a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment to provide protection from light rain and wet grounds, making them a perfect shoe for future hikes and outdoor adventures. Adding durability and longevity to your shoes, TPU panels are placed in areas that are higher wearing, therefore helping to protect feet from knocks and bumps. The iconic V-logo is designed using a Pebax Rnew material for durability, whilst the heel support supplied in the same materials keeps your heel stable and secure in the shoes. Additionally, recycled laces are used to keep your forefoot secure within the shoes, preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring and keeping you stable on the journey ahead.

EVA Midsole

Utilising an EVA compound, the midsole of the Fitz Roy works to cushion the foot upon impact, reducing the stress and strain placed upon the muscles and joints in the foot and ankle. This leads to a reduced risk of injury both short and longer-term, as footstrike after footstrike is buffered. Additionally, EVA provides gentle, springy rebounds, utilising the power of your last step to push you into your next one.

Durable Outsole

Made from Amazonian rubber, the Fitz Roys have a durable outsole, that helps to keep you stable on the trail ahead. This ethically sourced compound is long-lasting, reliable and stable, providing you with an outsole that will last you long-term. Additionally, the shoes have multi-direction crampons to provide you with exceptional levels of grip on a variety of terrains and conditions, as well as a rock plate to prevent stones from hurting your foot when stepping across rocky and uneven trails.
