La Sportiva Skwama Men's Climbing Shoes
The Skwama is the ultimate versatile climbing shoe, offering exceptional sensitivity and support for a wide range of climbing styles, both indoors and outdoors. With its innovative sole construction, the shoes allow climbers to "spread" the shoe across the rock, providing a uniform and flexible fit that enhances performance on both overhangs and slabs.
Suede Leather Upper
Constructed using a suede leather upper, the La Sportiva Skwama provides the perfect balance of structure and stretch. Designed to provide the right amount of support for uncompromising climbs, this upper ensures a glove-like fit with a construction that conforms to the shape of the foot to provide a perfect fit. This minimises in-shoe slippage, as precision is important in climbing shoes. For enhanced protection, leather has been added to the toe box to guard against impacts and abrasions, keeping your feet safe. The innovative S-Heel ensures perfect torsion stability, enhancing performance and flexibility for heel blocks. Heel pull tabs assist in putting the shoes on and off, and finally, a Velcro strap tightens the shoes, delivering exceptional midfoot support and a secure fit.
LaSpoFlex Midsole
The midsole of the Skwama is low in profile to save on weight and increase underfoot feel. The LaSpoFlex midsole is 0.8mm thick to ensure a level of cushioning which doesn't compromise on sensitivity. The specialised midsole incorporates prehensile material in the anterior to increase edging capability and sensitivity so you feel changes underfoot without experiencing discomfort. The full-length LaSpoFlex midsole has been combined with a P3 System (Permanent Power Platform). This patented construction system leaves the arched shape of the climbing shoe unaltered, without compromising original performance and push-power, even after years of hard use. The midsole is designed to add adaptability so you can tackle any climb.
Vibram XS Grip2 Outsole
The Skwama are constructed with a Vibram XS Grip2 outsole to ensure maximum support whether you're climbing outdoors, indoors, or lead climbing. This specialist outsole allows you to focus your weight on the tiniest of holds and maintains its shape in tough conditions. The Vibram XS Grip2 enhances the grip, delivering outstanding precision, support, and stability for exceptional traction in every condition. Truly robust, the outsole can endure repeated use in hot and cold weather, offering reliable performance in all conditions. The rigid outsole supports you during any climb by adapting to the ground and bearing your weight as you move across various rock types. The superior rigidity of this shoe is balanced by its adaptability and sensitivity, providing an optimal balance of performance and durability.
